About the author

Jascha Urbach is a Berlin-based writer. They have written books, published books, and once ran a publishing company, which they no longer do and which everyone involved has mostly recovered from. They write science fiction and fantasy under their own name, and other work—sometimes sharper, stranger, or more explicit—under pseudonyms that will remain unnamed for now.

Their writing is concerned with systems, power, bodies, futures that don’t quite work, and what happens when people are forced to live inside all of that at once. Some of their dystopian work began life in a very different genre and refuses to fully behave even now.

Jascha is queer in the classic sense (yes, that one), which tends to leak into the work whether invited or not. Sometimes the things they write become books, which is how this bio continues to be necessary. More can be found at jascha.wtf.
